1. Introduction

PasPas helps people who need packages moved connect with travelers already going a similar way — so delivery can feel simple and practical (“Package delivery made simple”).

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. By creating an account, using the App, or otherwise accessing our services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use PasPas.

Important: PasPas connects independent users. We are not a courier, logistics carrier, postal service, insurer, or guarantor of any delivery. How users interact offline (including package handover) is between those users. See also our Terms & Conditions.

2. Who this Policy applies to

This Policy applies to:

  • Users who register or use the PasPas app (“Users”)
  • Visitors to our websites linked from the App
  • Anyone who contacts us for support, feedback, or legal requests

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide

Depending on how you use PasPas, you may provide:

  • Account details: name, email address, phone number, password (stored in hashed/secure form by our systems or providers), profile photo
  • Profile / identity details: information you add to your profile to help other users recognize you
  • Listings & bookings: route details (start/end locations, dates/times), vehicle/transport type, package type/size/description, pricing you set, contact names/numbers you enter for pickup/drop-off, and related listing text
  • Communications: in-app chat messages, support messages, feedback, and similar content you send through the App
  • Verification / OTP data: email OTP and related verification status for account registration or security flows
  • Government identity documents (optional / encouraged for verification): where the App offers an identity-verification feature, you may upload government-issued ID such as PAN and/or Aadhaar (or other ID we expressly request) to verify your account. See Section 3.4
  • Other content: any information you voluntarily submit (forms, reports, complaints)

3.2 Information collected automatically

When you use PasPas, we and/or our service providers may automatically collect:

  • Device information: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, unique device identifiers
  • Usage data: screens viewed, features used, approximate session timing, crash logs, performance diagnostics
  • Network information: IP address, network type, and related technical metadata
  • Push notification tokens: FCM / APNs tokens used to deliver notifications
  • Location-related data: location text and coordinates you select via maps/places search when creating searches, listings, or bookings (and recent location/search history stored to improve UX). We use location to power matching and routing features you request—not to secretly track you 24/7 without context of your use of the App

3.3 Information from third parties

We may receive information from:

  • Maps / places providers (e.g., Google Places) when you search or select addresses
  • Authentication / infrastructure providers (e.g., Firebase and hosting/API providers)
  • Other users (e.g., messages they send you, bookings related to your listings)
  • App stores / platform providers (limited technical or purchase-related metadata, if applicable)

3.4 Government ID and sensitive information

Account verification (encouraged): To help keep PasPas safer and more trustworthy, we encourage you to verify your account by uploading your government-issued identity documents through the App’s verification feature (for example, PAN and/or Aadhaar, or other ID we may request). Verification is intended to reduce fake accounts and support safer matching between users.

If you upload government ID, we may collect and process:

  • Images or files of the ID you submit
  • Identity details visible on or extracted from the ID (such as name, ID number, date of birth, address, photograph on the ID), as needed for verification
  • Verification status (e.g., pending, verified, rejected)

How we may use submitted government ID:

  • To verify that an account belongs to a real person and matches profile details
  • To investigate and act on complaints of fraud, cheating, harassment, threats, abuse, impersonation, or other serious misconduct
  • For legal purposes, including if we need to take or support legal action against a user, respond to lawful requests from courts, police, or other authorities, or protect the rights, safety, and property of PasPas, other users, or the public
  • To enforce our Terms & Conditions and maintain platform integrity

You understand and agree that if another user files a complaint against you (or we otherwise become aware of suspected fraud, harassment, or illegal activity), we may use, retain, and—where lawful and necessary—disclose your submitted government ID and related verification data to investigate that complaint and for legal / law-enforcement purposes.

We handle government ID with heightened care and access controls. Do not upload government ID except through the official in-App verification feature. Do not share ID images in chat with other users.

Please do not submit other sensitive personal data we have not requested (e.g., financial account passwords, health data, biometric templates for unrelated purposes). Do not include prohibited or illegal package contents descriptions that reveal criminal activity.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate you
  • Provide matching, listing, booking, chat, and My Hub features
  • Show relevant routes, publications, and conversations
  • Send transactional messages (OTP, booking/chat alerts, service notices)
  • Send push notifications you are eligible to receive (you can control OS-level notification settings)
  • Improve safety, prevent fraud/abuse, enforce our Terms, and investigate complaints
  • Verify accounts using government ID you submit (PAN, Aadhaar, or other requested ID), and use that ID for safety investigations and legal purposes as described in Section 3.4
  • Analyze and improve App performance, reliability, and user experience
  • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect rights and safety
  • Contact you about service changes, policy updates, or important account matters
  • Prevent re-registration after account deletion using the same email or identifying details (see Section 8)

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Legal bases (where applicable)

Depending on your location and applicable law, we process data based on:

  • Contract: to provide the services you request
  • Consent: where required (e.g., certain notifications, optional permissions)
  • Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, product improvement, platform integrity (balanced against your rights)
  • Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose information under law

6. How we share information

We may share information with:

6.1 Other users (as part of the service)

To enable matching and coordination, other users may see limited profile and listing/booking information (for example, name/display name, profile image, route details, package summary, and chat content you send). Do not share information in chat that you do not want other users to know.

6.2 Service providers

Vendors who help us operate PasPas (hosting, databases, analytics/crash reporting, maps, push notifications, email delivery, customer support tools), under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

6.3 Legal / safety disclosures

If we believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • Enforce our Terms or investigate violations
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of PasPas, users, or the public
  • Detect, prevent, or address fraud, harassment, security, or technical issues
  • Investigate user complaints of fraud, cheating, harassment, threats, abuse, or impersonation — which may include disclosing submitted government ID / verification data to competent authorities or using it in legal proceedings, where lawful and necessary

6.4 Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or successor notice.

6.5 With your direction

When you ask us to share information or use a feature that necessarily shares it.

7. International transfers

Your information may be processed on servers or by providers located outside your state or country. Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

8. Data retention and account deletion

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including:

  • While your account remains active
  • For as long as necessary to provide the service and maintain chat/booking history needed for disputes, safety, and operations
  • To comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations
  • For fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and security (limited retention as reasonably necessary)
  • Government ID / verification records for as long as needed for verification, safety investigations, legal claims, or law-enforcement requests, and thereafter as required by law

8.1 What happens when you delete your account

When account deletion is requested and successfully processed:

  • We will delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (e.g., legal disputes, abuse investigations, regulatory requirements, security logs, and backups that rotate out on a delayed schedule).
  • Permanent block on re-use of the same identity: Once deletion is completed, the same email address and the same identifying account details (such as the phone number and/or government ID identifiers linked to that deleted account, where we retain a blocklist hash or equivalent record) cannot be used again to create or reopen a new PasPas account. This is to protect the community against repeat abuse, fraud, and evasion of bans or prior misconduct findings.
  • You acknowledge that account deletion is final in this respect: choosing to delete means you will not be able to register again with that same email / those same blocked identifiers.

If you believe deletion or a re-registration block was applied in error, contact support@paspaspackage.in; we may require identity verification before reviewing the request. Our decision on exceptional restoration or unblock is at our sole discretion and is not guaranteed.

9. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account / request erasure
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a copy of data in a portable format (where applicable)

In-app controls: you may update profile details, manage notification settings at the device level, upload government ID for verification (where available), and request account deletion through available App features or by contacting us.

Account deletion note: Deleting your account is permanent regarding re-registration with the same email/details, as explained in Section 8.1.

To exercise rights, email support@paspaspackage.in from your registered email address. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

11. Children’s privacy

PasPas is not directed to children under 18 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Third-party links and services

The App may contain links or integrations to third-party services (maps, app stores, etc.). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.

13. Push notifications

With your device permission, we may send push notifications about chats, bookings, account activity, and service messages. You can disable notifications in your device settings. Disabling notifications may limit your ability to receive time-sensitive updates.

14. Location data

Location fields and coordinates are used to help you search, publish routes, and arrange deliveries. Providing accurate location information is your responsibility. Misuse of location features (spoofing, harassment, stalking) is prohibited and may result in account action.

15. Communications content

In-app messages and listing content are processed to deliver the service. We may review content when required for safety, abuse, legal compliance, or at a user’s report. Do not use PasPas to transmit illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content.

16. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised “Last updated” date and, where required, provide additional notice. Continued use of PasPas after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

17. Contact us

For privacy questions or requests:

18. Disclaimer regarding PasPas’s role (privacy context)

PasPas helps independent users find and talk to each other about package movement along shared routes. We do not control offline interactions, package contents, vehicle conditions, or the accuracy of information provided by users. Users are solely responsible for the personal data they choose to share with other users in listings, chat, or offline.
